January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month and it's a great time to get a deal on rentals, lift tickets and lessons.

The best deal for a one day lesson with equipment is $99 (ish) at Crested Butte. I say ish because the special is actually $79 and includes a discount on rental equipment. If you pick a $40 rental package, it'll cost you $20, for a total of $99.

The best deal for group one-day lesson is likely Aspen Snowmass where you can get a private lesson for 5 people for $78 each. The good news is you get an all day lesson just for your group, but it does not include rentals.

Ski Granby Ranch, near Winter Park is offering a special program this month. For $249 you get two days of lessons and a free season pass.

See the list of deals below:

The package includes a full-day ski or snowboard lesson, full day adult lift ticket (valid for limited lift access on the day of the lesson) and half off a single-day equipment rental package. Rentals are normally about $40, so at half price, you'll add another $20 to the cost of this package. This offer is available to first time skiers and riders only. Limit one lesson package per person.
