DENVER – The Grandoozy is not coming back in 2019, Denverites.

Superfly, the company behind the three-day music festival, said Friday in a press release that the festival will be taking a hiatus in 2019 to “create a festival that is even more unique, sustainable, and integrated into the region’s local and creative community.”

But not all is lost, music festival junkies: Company officials said they hope and expect to return in 2020.

The festival, which was held at the Overland Golf Course in southwest Denver, was marred by controversy during the months leading up to the three-day event. Neighbors were concerned about parking and noise disruptions during the festival.

But despite some confusion and frustration over ride share pick-ups and drop-offs, Grandoozy went on without a hitch. City of Denver officials called it “a success.”

Only one person was arrested during the three-day event. An estimated 55,000 people attended the festival.
