DENVER – If you’ve been waiting for the Shake Shack location to open in Denver’s RiNo District and didn’t get enough of a tease during that pop-up event at the Source Hotel last month, how’s this for a tease: Shake Shack is coming to Denver International Airport in 2019.

The burger chain will be part of an overhaul of shops and restaurants on the mezzanine of Concourse B, according to DIA spokeswoman Mindy Crane.

The renovation of the mezzanine is expected to be completed by late 2019.

This would be the metro area’s second location, following last year’s announcement that Shake Shack was coming to 30th and Larimer Streets later this year.

The Denver Business Journal reports Snooze, Hacienda Colorado and Osteria Marco will also be added into the mix as part of the overhaul.

Late last month, DIA officials announced they were closing the last remaining smoke lounge at the airport. That space will give way for a new restaurant concept that will be coming in the near future.
