1. The Rockies take on the Dodgers for Opening Day at Coors Field
What: The Colorado Rockies are taking on their bitter rivals for their home opener weekend at Coors Field. Don’t miss out on the Rockies’ Opening Day Fest (from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 21st and Blake) – and If you want to get the party started early, make sure to head over to The Rooftop at Coors Field starting at noon.

2. Get to know the local art scene at First Friday Art Walks

4. Learn the story behind Denver’s best murals at the Denver Graffiti Tour
What: The Denver Graffiti Tour takes guests in a two-hour walking tour of the RiNo Art District and explores the story behind Denver’s best murals and the artists who created them. The tour, which also touches on issues of gentrification and how displacement has affected the local art scene, ends at Denver Central Market, where you’ll be able to enjoy drinks and eats after a long walk. You must make an online reservation if you wish to attend.

5. Monster Jam in Colorado Springs
What: Machines weighing 12,000-pounds capable of doing backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and racing at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour will leave families with mouths wide-open during Monster Jam, taking place in Colorado Springs this weekend.

6. Celebrate film at the 5th Annual Lyons International Film Festival
What: Couldn’t get enough of the Denver Film Festival and, most recently, the Boulder International Film Festival? If you’re craving independent films, then head over to the Lyons International Film Festival, which celebrates works ranging from environmental documentaries, outdoor recreational adventure films and international shorts.
