For the very last-minute holiday gift shoppers, there may no longer be a reason to rush out the door to buy something.
Target says its Shipt service will provide same-day delivery of holiday purchases this season, and the service is available nationwide in 46 states. It is also offering free two-day shipping on lots of online items.
Target CEO Brian Cornell said in a news release more than 55,000 items for sale at Target will be available for delivery by Shipt.
In August, the retailer's stock jumped and it saw an increase of in-store customers. Digital stock increased 6.4 percent — the strongest seen by Target since it began recording online traffic in 2008, according to investors.com.
