DENVER – One of Denver’s most famous spots is reopening Saturday and will have a re-vamped menu to boot.

The Campus Lounge, which closed its doors over a year ago, was hoping to undergo a quick renovation, but as Denver Westword reported, that didn’t end up happening, until the big announcement was made on the restaurant’s Facebook page a week ago, on Oct. 11.

The restaurant, located at 701 South University Boulevard, will offer from-scratch comfort food, cocktails and beer.

So what’s the menu going to be like? Owners have started to tease costumers with menu previews on their Facebook page.

Among the new items are apple crisp with homemade vanilla ice cream (both vegan and gluten free); Thai style duck meatballs topped with radish, micro cilantro and orange chili sauce and roasted beets and carrots that come with beet top, mint pesto, turmeric spiced coconut yogurt, nuts and bulls blood micro greens.

The restaurant’s website is still under renovation, but they do let people know: “When the neon is on, you’ll know we are open.”
