DENVER – If you’re looking to shred some fresh powder, you better head out to Summit County this weekend as three Colorado ski resorts are set to open for the ski and snowboarding season.

Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone will begin the season on Friday, November 10, 2017 starting at 9 a.m.

“We’re very excited to open for the season and debut the new Montezuma Express Lift,” said Geoff Buchheister, Keystone’s vice president and general manager. “Our lift maintenance team put in a tremendous amount of work to get the lift ready for opening day, and I look forward to greeting our guests as they get in their first turns of the season at Keystone.”

Skiers and snowboarders will have access to the River Run Gondola and the new six-passenger Montezuma Express chairlift to enjoy beginner terrain on Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon, according to Keystone Ski Resort spokesperson.

Opening times for Copper Mountain won’t be much different, with the first spin taking place at 9 a.m. on the American Eagle chairlift.

The first 50 people in line on Friday will also be welcomed with a Free YETI Rambler, donuts, surprise giveaways and live music.

Arapahoe Basin was the first resort to open to the public this year.

The opening of these three ski resorts this weekend will be followed by several more this month.
