What: The oldest fair in the state of Colorado is celebrating 148 years and the celebrations start this Friday and go through August 6. A parade through downtown Longmont from Roosevelt Park and Eighth Avenue beings at 10 a.m. this Saturday. At the fair, you’ll find carnival rides, livestock barns, a petting zoo, truck and tractor pulls, Western and Mexican rodeo, ballet on horseback and much more.

Admission: Free, but special events range from $5 to $15 for adults.

There, you can view painted cat figurines, buy cat-themed craft items and explore the Meow Mart for all your feline needs. New this year? Multiple craft stations for children to paint flower pots for cat grass. Refreshments will be served.
