1. Denver Restaurant Week
What: Over 200 restaurants are participating in the Mile High City’s biggest culinary event of the year. This Sunday will be the last day you’ll be able to experience new flavors from different neighborhoods, so grab a friend, take a date and dine out

2. First Fridays Art Walks
What: Come and enjoy the local art scene at Denver’s five art districts: Arts District Santa Fe, Golden Triangle Museum District, the Tennyson Street Cultural District and the RiNo Arts District.
Where: Denver Arts Districts (several locations)
When: Monthly on the first Friday of every month, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Admission: Free

3. Free Day at the Denver Art Museum
What: Enjoy free admission to the Denver Art Museum. Note that special exhibitions will require a ticketed admission.
Where: Denver Art Museum, 100 W. 14th Avenue Parkway, Denver, Colo.
When: Saturday: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

4. Rocky Mountain Train Show
What: All aboard the Rocky Mountain Train Show! Billed as the largest model train show west of the Mississippi River, this train show for young kids and kids at heart features over three acres of model and toy trains of all scales, with 25 operating train layouts. There will be over 600 tables of trains for sale, workshops, hands-on exhibits, a Kids Corner, and much more.

When: Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission: $10, but kids under the age of 12 and military with ID – and Scouts with uniform – get in for free.

5. Steamboat Mardi Gras
What: Let the good times roll when the Steamboat Mardi Gras comes marching in Saturday with a free concert, parade, a Cajun Crawfish Boil and Mardi Gras party with face painters and street performers. There will also be food enthusiasts can enjoy Mardi Gras-themed lunch creations across the mountain.
Where: Steamboat Ski & Resort, 2305 Mt. Werner Circle in Steamboat Springs, Colo.
When: Saturday, March 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

6. The 15th annual Boulder International Film Festival
What: The 15th annual Boulder International Film Festival is bringing films and filmmakers to the City of Boulder for a four-day celebration of the art of cinema. Adding to the BIFF experience are events featuring nationally renowned chefs, filmmaker happy hours, multiple opening night Galas, talented musicians and much more.

When: Thursday, Feb. 28 through March 3

7. 37th annual Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships
What: The 37th Annual Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships are taking place this weekend in Vail. As the premier event of the competitive snowboarding season, the Burton US Open showcases the most progressive riding from the world’s top athletes in both slopestyle and halfpipe. Additionally, the celebrated Burton US Open Halfpipe Junior Jam features the world’s top 14-and-under riders vying for a chance to compete against the pros.
