1. Jodi’s Race for Awareness
What: Thousands of people are expected to converge on Denver’s City Park this weekend for a run/walk devoted to raising awareness about ovarian cancer. Jodi’s Race for Awareness, now in its 9th year, includes a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile “family” walk and benefits the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance.

2. Special Olympics – State Summer Games
What: The 2018 Special Olympics Colorado State Summer Games, presented by Spectrum, are taking place this weekend in Grand Junction. More than 800 Special Olympic athletes will compete in athletics, aquatics, powerlifting and soccer.

3. Get a “taste” of Puerto Rico this weekend
What: If your palate is craving some Caribbean flavor, why not get a Taste of Puerto Rico this weekend? The annual festival in downtown Denver brings not only food, but music and Puerto Rico’s vibrant culture including sansa and merengue competitions, family activities among other things.

5. South Pearl Street Music & Beer Festival
What: Six bands will take over South Pearl Street for an afternoon of music, cold beer and much more at the South Pearl Street Music & Beer Festival. Bands performing will including Jon Cleary, Doug Kershaw, DJ Williams and Shots Fired. Beer from Oskar Blues, Platt Park Brewing, New Belgium and more will be available to quench your thirst.
