1. Denver Broncos Training Camp

What: The unofficial start of the football season begins this Saturday morning at UCHealth Training Center in Englewood. If you’re one of the thousands of fans who plan on attending one or more of the team’s practices this year, there are a few things you’ll need to know.

Where: UCHealth Training Center, 13655 E. Broncos Parkway in Englewood, Colo.

When: Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

2. Arapahoe County Fair

What: What is summer without a county fair? This year's fair features a craft brew festival, a youth livestock auction and, if shopping is more of your style, you can check out the 40-plus vendors or the new Gypsy Farmhouse Market with a local collection of vintage items and wares.

Where: Arapahoe County Fairgrounds and Events Center, 25690 E. Quincy Ave., in Aurora (two miles east of E-470 at exit 13).

When: Thursday, July 26 through Sunday, July 29, 2018

Admission: Children under 36 inches in height enter free; $15 for adults at the gate

3. Colorado Dragon Boat Festival 

What: Founded more than 15 years ago by the Colorado Asian Pacific American (APA) culture, the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival has become one of the most known family-friendly festival celebrating Asian culture in the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy performances, arts and crafts, and dragon boat racing!

Where: Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver. 

When: Saturday, July 28 from noon to 7 p.m.; Sunday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

4. Cheesman Park Art Fest

What: A total of 130 juried artists and craftsmen will hail from 30 different states around the country to showcase their work at the Cheesman Park Art Fest. The free, two-day festival in one of Denver’s prized historic parks, will showcase works of otters, painters, jewelers, sculptors, glass artists, and more – in a wide range of prices.  

Where: Cheesman Park, 1599 E. 8th Ave. in Denver

When: Saturday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, July 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

5. City Park Jazz 

What: City Park Jazz produces ten free jazz concerts each summer in City Park. From June 3 to August 5, the park fills up with hundreds of jazz fans for one of the most vibrant events in the Denver metro area.

When: Sunday, July 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

6. Levitt Pavilion - Free concert series

What: Reggae On The Grass  will provide attendants with a multicultural collection of Reggae music, Live Reggae Bands, Dj's , vendors and cuisine. The festival is intended to produce a family-friendly atmosphere oriented toward celebrating the Reggae Music in our community. 

Where: Levitt Pavilion, 1380 W. Florida Ave. in Denver

When: Sunday, July 29 starting at 5 p.m.

7. Buy local, straight-from-the-farm fresh produce 

What: You know our winter season is finally over when farmers' market start popping up in your neighborhood. Luckily for all of us in Colorado, there are dozens of places to choose fresh produce from before winter makes its comeback in just a few months.   

Where: Various locations across Colorado

When: From Monday through Sunday

Admission: Free (unless you end up buying something, of course)
