1. Colorado Chocolate Festival
What: If chocolate heaven sounds just about right for you, then look no further than the Colorado Chocolate Festival this weekend. There will be chocolate samples, chocolate martinis, chocolate cake competitions, cooking demos, live music and gifts for mom and more.

When: Friday, May 10 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2. Film on the Rocks – “Titanic”
What: If you’ve spent the past several years debating your friends on whether Jack could fit in that door frame alongside Rose in James Cameron’s magnum opus “Titanic,” you’ll have a chance to prove your point this Friday. The Academy-award winning film will debut this season of Film on the Rocks, so get those coats and tissues ready because it’s going to be cold and you’re going to leave the amphitheater crying. Don’t tell us we didn’t warn you.
Where: Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, 18300 W. Alameda Parkway in Morrison, Colo.
When: Friday, May 10; doors open at 6:30 p.m., but the movie starts at dusk.

3. Americana Spring Fling Car Show and Festival
What: If you’re feeling a bit of nostalgia for a time that was, check out the Americana Spring Fling Car Show and Festival, which kicks off the 2019 Pikes Peak International Raceway season. There will be a pre-1989 car show, a swap meet, food and merchandise vendors, live music, and a drive-in movie.
Where: Pikes Peak International Raceway, 16650 Midway Ranch Road in Fountain, Colo.
When: Friday, May 10 from noon to 6 p.m.; Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

4. Food Truck Carnival
What: Love food trucks and carnivals? The two will become one during the Food Truck Carnival in Northglenn this weekend! Enjoy food from over 25 food trucks, beer, other speciality drinks, as well as live music and amusement rides.
Where: Northglenn City Hall, 11701 Community Center Drive in Northglenn, Colo.
When: Friday, May 10 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 11 from noon to 9 p.m.; Sunday, May 12 from noon to 5 p.m.

5. Longmont Museum free day
What: The Longmont Museum, housed in a distinctive contemporary building, features changing exhibits in history, art, and science, as well as the award-winning Front Range Rising, a long-term exhibit on the history and culture of this region.

7. Upslope Get Down Music Festival
What: If you’re looking for a free music festival to go to near Denver, head out to Boulder for the 6th annual Upslope Get Down! There will be food trucks, games, art and more.

8. Bacon and Beer Classic Festival
What: The Bacon and Beer Classic has been such a hit with Denverites it’s returning for a fourth year at Broncos Stadium at Mile High. Local chefs will be serving up bacon-inspired dishes and regional breweries will be featuring creative draft beers, so you can be sure you’ll experience bacon and beer in ways you haven’t even thought of. There will be music, games, the Hormel Bacon Eating Contest and much more.

9. Gourmet Grilled Cheese and Craft Beer Festival

10. Multi-cultural Music Festival
What: Music, drumming and high energy performances from a variety of Afro-Latin percussionists in and around Colorado will liven up the night with rich-cultural music from Africa and other Afro-Latin parts of the world. There will also be African food, salsa group dancing and much more.
