1. Smell the roses at the Denver Botanic Gardens – for free!
What: Now that winter’s a thing of the past, it’s time for the flowers to bloom once again at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The good news? You can smell the roses for free this Friday!

When: Friday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2. Celebrate Native American culture at the Denver March Powwow
What: The modern powwow is a time for Native American peoples to come together to sing and dance, and to honor the heritage that has been passed down to them from their ancestors. The word comes from the Narragansett word powwaw, meaning "spiritual leader." The 45th annual Denver March Powwow features more than 1,500 dancers from close to 100 tribes from 38 states and three Canadian provinces.

When: Friday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Sunday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Admission: Adult admission is $7 per day and $20 for three-day passes; Adults 60+ is $3 per day and $9 for a three-day pass. Kids 6 and under get in for free. Tickets are only sold at the door.

3. Walk among gigantic dinosaurs at Jurassic Quest in Denver
What: Jurassic Quest, billed as the country’s largest and most realistic Dinosaur event, is coming to Denver this weekend after stopping by in Colorado Springs. Guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic period and the Triassic period, and will experience for themselves what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs.

When: Friday, March 22 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission: $22 for adults and children; $20 for seniors (65+) and for police and military.

4. Get inspired at the Denver Home Show
What: Find fresh inspiration, helpful tips, innovative products and fantastic deals in remodeling, home improvement, decor and outdoor spaces with nearly 400 exhibitors and experts all under one roof at the Denver Home Show.

When: Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission: $11 for adults ($9 online); Seniors (60+) get in for only $5.50; Children 12 and under get in free. On Friday, members of the military, first responders and teacher with a valid ID get in free.

5. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in Concert with the Colorado Symphony
What: Immerse yourself in a galaxy far, far away as the Colorado Symphony takes you light years into the past to experience Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back live in concert! The second installment of George Lucas’ original trilogy takes Luke Skywalker from the icy planet of Hoth to the swamp lands of Dagobah in search of Master Yoda, who will train him into the ways of the Jedi to destroy the evil Darth Vader and bring balance to the Force.

6. KickAspen Big Air at Aspen Snowmass
What: KickAspen Big Air is a one-night competition full of action as 20 invited skiers and 20 invited snowboarders battle it out under the lights at the base of Aspen Mountain. Come watch the action, listen to live music and enjoy the beer garden next to Silver Queen Gondola.

7. Learn the Secrets of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs
What: Learn about the lesser known parts of Pikes Peak in this one-hour presentation by Pikes Peak America’s Mountain Ranger Supervisor Connor Maloney. This will include an overview of the often-overlooked opportunities to hike, fish, ski, climb, snowshoe, mushroom hunt, and explore on this uniquely accessible mountain. Bring your questions about the mountain!

What: The music of Johann Sebastian Bach comes alive once again during the 12th annual Durango Bach Festival, in which dozens of fine musicians will perform the best works of this Baroque era composer under one beautiful venue. The festival finale concert is this Saturday and the purchase of advance tickets is recommended.
