Denver7 is proud to partner with Let’s Talk Colorado on a campaign to initiate an inclusive conversation about mental health.

As part of this initiative, Let’s Talk Colorado is offering a free program for parents and caregivers on Thursday, May 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Golden Public Library located at 1019 10thSt., Golden, CO.

Attendees will learn ways to cope with pregnancy and parenting of young children. Topics to be discussed include depression during and after pregnancy, childhood brain development and ways little ones might be asking for help.

The program will be presented by Joy Wasmundt, LPC, Infant and Early Child Mental Health Specialist, Jefferson Center and Mary Schroeter, MSW, LCSW, Postpartum Support International.

This talk is for adults – dads, moms, caregivers, grandparents and people working with caregivers of young children. Childcare is not provided; however volunteers will be on hand to entertain children in the children’s section of the library.

Caregivers are responsible for their children.
