Two years ago Bruno Mars brought some “Uptown Funk” to the Super Bowl. Rumor has it the NFL wants him to do it again.
Multiple sources including Entertainment Weekly and Billboard report the pop star has been invited back to league’s main stage; Super Bowl 50 will be played in Santa Clara, Calif. in February.
Billboard says the NFL wants Mars to curate a show, meaning he’ll invite some friends to guest star in the concert with him.
His show in 2014 was the second-most viewed Super Bowl half-time performance behind Katy Perry’s this past year.
Mars hasn’t commented.
Gloria Estefan played the Super Bowl three times. Justin Timberlake and Nelly have appeared twice.
