If you think TikTok is only for lip-syncing and dance challenges, you might be missing out on some super-useful content. For example, one TikTok user has made dinner just a little easier for moms everywhere, thanks to her raw chicken hack.

Mandy Klentz, who goes by @raising_krazies on social media, is the mom of three kiddos, proud wife of a law enforcement officer and now a self-proclaimed “TikTok chicken lady,” with good reason. Her video showing a hack for chicken breast tenderloins has gone viral with more than 670,000 likes and 4.1 million views.

“Do you guys see this nasty little chicken tendon that’s in there?” she asks in the video, pointing to the bit of thick, white tendon protruding from the tenderloin she was holding. “I don’t know if maybe I’m just late to the game, but I learned that if you take a fork, you slip the tendon into the middle of the fork — it’s a little slick so I use a paper towel — you grab the tendon and you just push down. You can pull the whole thing out!”

You can watch the video in its entirety below.

As you see, she easily slides the entire tendon out of the chicken breast tenderloin without cutting or wasting any of the meat. If your mind is blown, know that you are not alone. Other TikTok users felt the same way.

“This is amazing!” commented @traciecrabtree. “I always end up throwing away a LOT of meat bc I just cut the whole thing out.”

“You just changed my life,” commented @doctorrose.

“Literally best cooking tip ever!!!” commented @crystals_for_days. “I didn’t know this and I will USE this!”

In an interview with Bored Panda, Krentz expressed surprise that so many people loved her chicken trick. She said, “I Googled how to remove the chicken tendon because I hate the chewy parts of the chicken in recipes and there was a really old video of someone doing this from years ago! I tried it and it worked. I thought it was really cool but I certainly didn’t imagine 4 million other people thinking it was also.”

We love a good kitchen hack! Are you excited to give this one a go?
