Denver7 hosts fashion show to raise awareness of domestic violence

DENVER – Join Denver7 – The Denver Channel for an evening of fun, fashion and food to help raise awareness about domestic violence with all proceeds benefiting SafeHouse Denver

On March 10, 2018 your donation of $50 earns you an invitation to a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres arranged by Serendipity Catering and a fashion show debuting exclusive looks from Nina McLemore’s upcoming collection. Styles will be modeled by local Denver7 anchors who will walk the runway and mingle with the crowd throughout the evening.

Domestic violence is one of the serious issues affecting our community, with over 18,500 incidents of domestic violence reported to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation in 2016; an increase of almost five percent from the previous year.

“The women of Denver7 are so honored to be a part of this event. All proceeds from the fashion show will go to Safehouse Denver and their efforts to help battered women in our community,” said Denver7 First Alert Weather Meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo. “We’d love to meet you and would so appreciate your support.  This is a great way to support women and children that deserve to simply feel safe.”

All services at SafeHouse Denver are provided 100 percent free of charge.
