7NEWS night with the Denver Outlaws

What: 7NEWS, Azteca Colorado and the Denver Outlaws will work together in bringing the community together to encourage healthy activity through the growing sport of Lacrosse. 7NEWS Night" at the Outlaws opening game will include appearances from Lionel, 7NEWS Anchors Anne Trujillo and Mike Landess, and 24/7 Weather Meteorologist, Mike Nelson.

Five Points Jazz Festival

What: This free community event celebrates the music, culture and history of Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood, with performances highlighting many of Denver’s finest jazz musicians. Performances and activities take place in numerous venues in Historic Five Points, with food and art vendors along Welton Street.

Where: Five Points District, Intersection of Washington Street, 27th Street, 26th Avenue and Welton Street, Denver

St. Elizabeth’s School 4th Annual Spring Garden Festival and Kid’s Carnival

Highlands Ranch Music Arts Festival

What: The 8th annual Highlands Ranch Music Arts Festival is a free 2-day event featuring various performance groups, with jazz, swing, folk and new age performances
on Saturday, May 18, and concert, wind and symphonic performances on Sunday May 19.
Stroll through the Festival Marketplace and enjoy a variety of items offered by artists, artisans, crafters,
food and other retail vendors. Fun for the whole family in a great park setting.

Hands on Heritage Festival

What: Bring the whole family to the first annual Hands On Heritage Festival.
The events include a weekend full of music, dance, food and culture,
celebrating the places, traditions and stories that make Colorado a great place to live.

Gaming with Passion Talk

What: Join World Record Holder, Brett Martin, for his talk Gaming with Passion: Nostalgia, History, and Collecting, on Sunday, May 19 at 1:00 p.m. Brett Martin has the world’s largest video game memorabilia collection in the world, as verified by the Guinness Book of World Records. He will speak about the history of video games, how he started collecting, and why he believes it’s important to collect video game memorabilia. He will also present some examples of his favorite collection pieces from his more than 8,000 object.
