DENVER – Denver7 is once again teaming up with local firefighters and national organizations to offer free smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to families in need.

For the third year in a row, Denver7 is joining Kidde, a leading manufacturer of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers, as well as The Home Depot and the Denver Fire Department for Operation Save a Life.

Operation Save a Life is a national campaign to educate the public about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning and fire.

The campaign kicks off on Sept. 26, when Kidde will donate 5,000 alarms to participating fire departments, which will then install the alarms in homes of their communities. Anyone interested in receiving a free smoke or carbon monoxide detector can contact their local fire department to find out if they have any available.

Operation Save a Life will wrap up with Save a Life Saturday on Saturday, Sept. 28 at participating Home Depot stores. For more information, click here.
