Denver7 and US Bank are honoring volunteers who help our community through our "Making Things Possible" program.

Kerrie Olsen, a volunteer with the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association, is one of the first to be honored.

“There’s no negative,” Olsen told Denver7. “It’s both a benefit and a blessing to me.”

Olsen spends a lot of her time fundraising for the group and collecting items for silent auctions.

But her favorite part is working with the people the group helps.

“I think to see the development of confidence and self-confidence they are enjoying... who wouldn’t want to see that?” Olsen said.

For her hard work, Denver7 and US Bank presented Olsen with a $100 gift card.
