DENVER – Every year, hundreds of law enforcement officer across Colorado join together for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics Colorado. Not only does the torch run kick off the summer games, it’s one the largest grassroots fundraising efforts of the year for Special Olympics.
Wednesday, May 15, members of the LETR are joining Denver7 in raising money for Special Olympics. You can help out by calling 303-777-7492 between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. You can talk to a police officer, thank them for what they do, and help them out by donating to a cause that is close to their hearts.
Here’s how your money can help:
- A $50 donation can fund one athlete in the Special Olympics Colorado young athlete program
- A $200 donation can start a brand new team
More than 10,000 volunteers help Special Olympics Colorado support more than 21,000 athletes in Colorado. You can learn more about the programs offered by
