Join Denver7 and Mile High United Way for the 26th Annual Day of Caring on Friday, August 28, the largest, single-day volunteer event in Boulder and Broomfield counties.

Day of Caring offers an opportunity for volunteers to support community projects across the region. This year, Day of Caring combines in-person volunteer opportunities (that are outdoors and socially distanced) with a number of virtual opportunities to provide a volunteer experience unlike any other. Corporate groups, community and civic groups, and individuals ages 18 and up are welcome to participate in Day of Caring volunteer projects.

Some of the in-person volunteer opportunities include:

· Processing donations at A Precious Child
· Building emergency food boxes and sorting incoming food donations at Community Food Share
· Picking up trash, clearing brush, cutting wood, hanging trail signs and more for Wild Bear Nature Center

Or volunteers can choose a virtual volunteer opportunity like:

· Creating handmade cards for clients of Coal Creek Meals on Wheels
· Refurbishing laptops for Boulder Housing Partners
· Painting birdhouses for Wild Plum Center
