Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce to choose winners of 2021 Champions for Change Award

The Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce is hosting an online awards ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 14 to recognize the winners of the 2021 Champions of Change For Women in Business awards.

The award recognizes companies and organizations that shape the future by advancing women in business and Denver7 is a proud sponsor of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Champions of Change.

“These businesses, as well as our advocate for change, are setting the bar for what all companies should be doing to advance women in the workplace,” said Kristen Blessman, president and CEO of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. “Through dedicated commitment, they are creating meaningful change benefiting every employee – women and men. Their creativity generates ideas that build strong, flexible work environments that allow employees to be their best both at work and at home.”

The 2021 Champions for Change categories and winners include:

  • Mission Minded: HealthONE
  • Small but Mighty: STEMBlazers
  • Corporate Change-Makers: VF Corp. and The VF Foundation
  • Innovation: Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck
  • Industry Trailblazer: Empower Retirement
  • Advocate for Change: Sarah Miller, Northwestern Mutual

Business are rated on a variety of criteria including a strategic imperative to advance women within the business, support for advancement through inclusive and empowering culture and workplace climate, offering benefit packages that allow employees to best support their families, pay based on performance, skill and education, and measurable outcomes for women.

This year’s award winners also demonstrate a commitment to allyship that shows engagement with diverse communities that leads to support and promotion of these communities. Notable work of each winner is highlighted on the CWCC website.
