Handmade in Colorado Expo

What:  This annual juried event will showcase Colorado’s best handmade arts, crafts, food and merchandise.  Browse over 120 exhibitors featuring a vast array of media including metals, paper, fibers, food, fabricated objects, clay, paint, wax, gems and more.  Plus, you’ll enjoy live music while supporting local artists and craftspeople in their pursuit of creativity made by hand.

Where: 16th Street Pedestrian Mall and Skyline Park, Downtown Denver, Colo.

When: Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Corn Maze at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms

What: Get lost in the 8-acre corn maze at the Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms.   Maze admission also includes the mini-maze, unlimited jumping pillow and hayrides.  Pony and train rides available for an additional fee.   Food vendors selling your favorite fall snacks like funnel cakes and kettle corn will also be available. 

Where:  Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms, 8500 W. Deer Creek Canyon Road, Littleton, Colo.

When: Fridays: 4 p.m.-9 p.m.; Saturdays: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sundays: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  (Weekends through Nov. 1st)

Admission: $13 – Adult; $10 – Kids 3-12 years; Kids 2 and under are free.  Member discounts available.

Oktoberfest Denver

What:  The party continues through this weekend, so grab your stein and head downtown to Oktoberfest Denver, which has been touted as “The Best Oktoberfest” in the United States by USA Today.  This Denver tradition since 1969 commemorates the world-famous and time-honored tradition of German heritage through live music and dance performances, bier-themed activities, and authentic German food. 

Where: Denver’s Historic Ballpark Neighborhood, on Larimer Street between 20th Street and 22nd Street, Denver, Colo.

When: Friday: 5 p.m.-2 a.m.; Saturday: 11 a.m.-2 a.m. and Sunday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

The A-Maze-ing After-Hours Harry Potter Party

What: An after-hours party fit for wizards of all ages.  Discover the secrets hidden within the giant Harry Potter Triwizard cardboard maze and snack on tasty Honeydukes treats.  Families are invited to explore the maze together.  Be sure to enter through the West entrance, on Alcoma Plaza.

A Day Out with Thomas: The Celebration Tour 2015 - Final Weekend

What:  It’s the final weekend of the event little engineers look forward to each year.  Thomas fans of all ages are invited to spend the day with their favorite No. 1 engine.  This event gives kids an opportunity to ride on board a train lead by Thomas and have their picture taken with Sir Topham Hatt.  Admission includes access to museum exhibits, as well as special Thomas themed activities including a petting zoo, Imagination Station, sing-a-longs, and a magic show. 

Where: Colorado Railroad Museum, 17155 W. 44th Avenue, Golden, Colo.

When: Saturday & Sunday: 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Admission: Tickets Range $20-$25 - Ages 2 years and older (Tickets are limited; advance purchase recommended.)

Morrison Ciderfest

What:  There will be fun for the whole family at the Morrison Ciderfest.  Enjoy arts and craft vendors, food and drink, kid’s activities, hay and pony rides, a classic car show, and live music featuring local favorites Hazel Miller and the Atomic Drifters.
