Josh Kroenke not panicking over Nuggets turnover

Nuggets President has big goals

Denver -

One day after firing George Karl, the NBA Coach of the Year, Josh Kroenke says his goal as President of the Nuggets hasn't changed, "No matter who is in the front office or coaching staff or on the court, our mission is the same; to bring an NBA Championship to Denver.

The 33 year-old met with the media for the first time since dismissing Karl and the loss of GM Masai Ujiri, the NBA Executive of the year, to the Toronto Raptors.  Kroenke claimed the Nuggets recent playoff failure had nothing to do with either decision.

"These changes aren't reflective of last season.  I'm focused on the future.  I understand there maybe unease because of the awards that were won.  It was a very successful year with 57 wins and Coach and Executive of the year (awards).  But at the end of the day, I'm not here to win awards.  I'm here to win banners."

The Nuggets have no time table to fill either position. However the search for a new GM and coach has already begun.

"Both situations are fluid," Kroenke said. "There's people coming out of the woodwork for both jobs, which tells me people think highly of this organization.  So I'm not panicked about making a decision right now."
