ABDINGDON, Md. - Former Denver Broncos offensive lineman and Super Bowl XXXIII champion Warren Christopher Banks was found dead at his home Wednesday morning, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers said the death of Banks was reported as unattended and was not suspicious, according to the Baltimore Sun.
"The Denver Broncos are deeply saddened with the news that former offensive lineman Chris Banks has passed away," the Denver Broncos said in a statement. "Our hearts go out to his family and friends."
Banks, 41, was drafted by the Broncos in the seventh round with the 226 overall selection of the 1996 NFL Draft from the University of Kansas. Banks would play in 20 regular season games with the Broncos, starting in one game in 1999.
Banks would play for the Atlanta Falcons in 2000 before retiring from the NFL.
