RALEIGH, N.C - Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker says quarterback Peyton manning played a practical joke on him this week.
Decker, along with Demaryius Thomas and new Broncos receiver Wes Welker are at Duke University in North Carolina this week working out with Manning before the official offseason program begins next week.
Decker posted a picture on Twitter that showed he owed Duke $3,217.50.
The expenses included $2,500 for on-field instruction from Duke Football coaching staff, $200 for taping and treatment and a $300 facility fee.
Decker was concerned, then he realized what was up.
"Nice little practical joke Peyton drew up...making me think I have to pay for workouts in Duke t/week," Decker tweeted. [Editor's note: t/week likely means this week.]
Manning likely chose Duke for his workouts because Duke coach David Cutcliffe helped Peyton in his recovery from neck surgery last year.
Manning also worked out alongside his brother Eli Manning who is the quarterback of the New York Giants.
