Want to see fireworks for the 4th of July? We've got you covered with this comprehensive list, covering all of Colorado.
Some of the larger fireworks displays will occur TONIGHT -- WEDNESDAY, JULY 3. Those include fireworks at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver, after the Rockies vs. Dodgers game at Coors Field, in Glendale at Creekside Park, in Littleton at Clement Park, and in Avon at Harry A. Nottingham Park.
Some annual fireworks shows have been canceled due to fire restrictions in certain areas. You can see the complete list of cancelations and shows below. Please return to this page regularly as we will be updating this list everyday as we learn of new shows and new cancelations.
ALAMOSA - Fireworks have been CANCELED. The town says in light of the recent fire events on the west side of the San Luis Valley, the fireworks will be postponed until a later date. Other events around the July 4th Celebration will continue as normally scheduled.
ARVADA - Annual 4th of July Community Celebration at the Stenger Sports Fields (West 58th Avenue and Oak Street). Parking is open at 3 p.m. Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. Fireworks will begin after 9 p.m.
ASPEN - For the second straight year, the July 4th fireworks show is CANCELED because of dry conditions.
AVON - Harry A. Nottingham Park will host a fireworks show on July 3rd at 9:15 pm.
AURORA - Fireworks will go off at 9:45 pm and viewers can enjoy the show at the Aurora Municipal Center
BEAVER CREEK - Fireworks at 9:30 pm.
BLACK HAWK - "Boomtown" Fireworks begin at dusk which is typically around 9:30 pm. The show can be seen from almost all areas of the city and is set to livestreaming music.
BOULDER - University of Colorado's Folsom Field will start shooting off fireworks as soon as it’s dark; they suggest 9:40 pm.
BRECKENRIDGE - Fireworks will go off at the Riverwalk Center at approximately 9:45 pm.
BRIGHTON - Fireworks will go off in Carmichael Park at dusk.
BROOMFIELD - Firework display will begin around 9:30 pm at Broomfield County Commons Park.
BRUSH - Rodeo scheduled for 7pm at the fairgrounds with a fantastic fireworks display to follow.
BUENA VISTA - Fireworks at dusk at Columbine Park.
CANON CITY - According to the Canon City Daily Record, the Canon City fire department and the Sheriff Jim Beicker have decided to CANCEL fireworks because of shortage of firefighters who are fighting the fire throughout the area.
CASTLE ROCK - Fireworks display is CANCELED due to Stage 2 fire restrictions.
COLORADO SPRINGS - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox will have fireworks at their games July 4, 5 and 6. There WILL also be fireworks after the symphony concert at Memorial Park.
COMMERCE CITY - Following the Colorado Rapids game at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park a fireworks show will begin at 9:50 pm.
COPPER MOUNTAIN - Copper's Wanderlust Festival will feature music, yoga events, a 10 a.m. kids' parade and 9 p.m. fireworks over the West Lake on July 6th.
CREEDE - The fireworks show scheduled for 9 pm along Main Street has been CANCELED.
CRESTED BUTTE - Fireworks scheduled for the 4th of July are CANCELED due to the fire ban. The celebration will still continue without the fireworks at the Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
CRIPPLE CREEK - The fireworks show at City Park has been POSTPONED.
DENVER - On WEDNESDAY, July 3, the fourth annual Independence Eve Celebration at Civic Center Park will feature a free patriotic concert by the Colorado Symphony, a light show on the Denver City and County Building and a stunning fireworks finale. There will also be fireworks shows at Coors Field, after the Colorado Rockies play the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 3 and 4. And the Outlaws will have a fireworks show after their July 4th game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. You can also catch a fireworks display at Elitch Gardens, starting at dusk on July 4.
DURANGO - Fireworks will go off over the town at dusk and can be viewed from all parts of Durango. Fireworks will follow a full Independence Day celebration in downtown Durango.
EAGLE - Firework show at the Eagle County Fairgrounds at 9:30 pm.
EDGEWATER - There won't be a fireworks display over Sloans Lake. The city of Edgewater has CANCELED its fireworks display, normally on July 3, citing costs and safety concerns.
ELBERT COUNTY - "Lights in the Sky" firework display and chili cook off originally scheduled for June 29, 2013 is CANCELED.
ENGLEWOOD - The Family Festival & Fireworks event will be followed by a professional fireworks show at 9:30 pm. The events will take place at Belleview Park (5001 S. Inca Street) and at Cornerstone Park (southeast corner of West Belleview Avenue and South Windermere Street).
ERIE - Colorado National Golf Club will host a 3rd of July extravaganza. Admission is free. Fireworks at dusk.
ESTES PARK - Fireworks are set to go off over Lake Estes at 9:30 pm.
FAIRPLAY - The fireworks show on Front Street is CANCELED due to the fire ban. The parade starts at 5 pm with the BBQ at 6 pm. Both events will be on Front Street.
FIRESTONE - Saddleback Golf Club will set off fireworks at 9:30 pm.
FORT CARSON - An Independence Day celebration will take place on WEDNESDAY, July 3rd at Fort Carson Iron Horse Park. The fireworks show has been POSTPONED until Aug. 31.
FORT COLLINS - City Park will host the fireworks display at approximately 9:35 pm.
FORT LUPTON - The fireworks show will take place at the parking lot of south Safeway on Rollie Avenue at dusk.
FREMONT COUNTY - The county has also CANCELED this year's 4th of July fireworks display from Skyline Drive.
FRISCO - Fireworks show at 9:30 pm at Frisco Bay Marina.
FRUITA - Fireworks show has been CANCELED.
GEORGETOWN - Fireworks CANCELED. Other festivities including small town parade begins at 11 a.m.
GLENDALE - Fireworks will be blasted off on WEDNESDAY July 3 at Creekside Park. The show will start at approximately 9 p.m.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS - Fireworks show has been CANCELED.
GOLDEN - The annual fireworks display at Lion's Park, held by the Lion's Club, has been CANCELED. Festival will still take place but fireworks will be rescheduled for another date.
GRAND JUNCTION - Fireworks display at Lincoln Park at 9:45 p.m.
GRAND LAKE - Grand Lake Fireworks Extravaganza display on the Lakefront at 9:30 pm.
GREELEY - Fireworks at 10 pm at Island Grove Park. Greeley Country Club will set off fireworks on the 4th at dusk.
GREEN VALLEY RANCH - Following the concert at the Green Valley Ranch Amphitheater there will be a fireworks show choreographed to music.
GUNNISON - The Gunnison Rotary Club will set off fireworks in Jorgensen Park at 9:15 pm.
HIGHLANDS RANCH - Fireworks show CANCELED due to the current Stage 2 fire restrictions in effect in Douglas County. The fireworks will be postponed until Oktoberfest on Sept. 21, 2013.
HOLYOKE - This celebration will take on July 4th at the Holyoke City Park. The fireworks show will begin at dusk.
IDAHO SPRINGS: July 4th Festival - Tribute to Our Heroes runs 2 p.m.-midnight at Citizens Park at Miner St and 16th Ave. Fireworks CANCELED.
INDIAN HILLS - Fireworks scheduled for the 4th at the Indian Hills Fire Station 1 are CANCELED.
KEYSTONE - Fireworks show at Lakeside Village at 9:00 pm.
KIOWA - The Kiowa Fire District and the Kiowa Volunteer Fire Department have CANCELED this year’s annual "Lights in the Sky" fireworks show and chili cookoff scheduled for June 29 at the Elbert County Fairgrounds.
KREMMLING - Fireworks display still scheduled.
LA JUNTA - fireworks celebration at 9 p.m. at La Junta Rodeo grounds.
LAKEWOOD - Fireworks show has been CANCELED
LAFAYETTE - Lafayette fireworks are happening at Waneka Lake, 1600 Caria Dr., at dusk.
LARKSPUR - Perry Park Country Club has CANCELED its fireworks show.
LITTLETON - The Fourth of July Family Festival and Fireworks Show is planned for Thursday, July 4. The city says it will continue to monitor the drought and fire conditions, and will follow any directives that are passed down from the governor’s office or the Arapahoe County Sheriff. If everything goes as planned, events will be held at Belleview, Progress and Cornerstone Parks near the intersection of Belleview and Windermere. There will be strict enforcement of laws prohibiting alcohol and personal fireworks -- including sparklers. Pets are strongly discouraged. Foothills Park & Recreation District, located in unincorporated Jefferson County, is putting on the Red, White & You patriotic event on WEDNESDAY, July 3 from 5-10 pm in Clement Park (7306 W. Bowles Ave., Littleton 80123). Admission into the event is free – PLEASE NO PETS. Food, Kids Amusements, Beer Garden, Free Concert, Laser Light Show, Community Booths and Fireworks. LOCHBUIE - Fireworks show for Saturday, July 6 have been CANCELED.
LONE TREE - Fireworks have been CANCELED due to the current Stage 2 Fire Restrictions in place in the City and throughout Douglas County. However, the concert and celebration will continue. Residents from Lone Tree and Acres Green can attend the celebration on July 4 at Sweetwater Park. Wristbands are required for entry. Celebration begins at 4 p.m.
LONGMONT- Boulder County Fairgrounds hosts fireworks display beginning at 9:30 pm.
LOVELAND - Fireworks show at 9:17 p.m. the show is set to begin over Lake Loveland. This year's show should be approximately 30 minutes in length, and will culminate with a finale of close to 500 shots. Festivities throughout the day for North Lake Park.
LOUISVILLE: The Fourth of July fireworks party runs 6-10 p.m. on July 4 at Coal Creek Golf Course. There will be music, balloon animals, face painting, music and food concessions. Fireworks will launch at approx. 9:15 p.m.
MANITOU SPRINGS - Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. in downtown Manitou Springs.
MONTROSE- The Rotary Club will put on a fireworks show at Sunset Mesa at dusk.
MONUMENT - Fireworks show CANCELED due to fire restrictions in El Paso County and Black Forest Fire. Parade and street fair will still be held on July 4.
MORRISON - Bandimere Speedway celebrate Independence Day on "Thunder Mountain" with the "Jet Car Nationals & Family Festival". Tickets required for the festival. Jet cars and drag racing begins at 7 p.m. Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
NEDERLAND - There won't be a typical fireworks display because of the fire danger. But at dusk, everyone is encouraged to come downtown Nederland with LED lights or something that glows to help create an energy efficient, safe, non fire causing, fun to watch and participate in, 4th of July display.
NORTHGLENN - Fireworks show will start at 9:30 pm over Webster Lake. If the fireworks don’t go off by 10 pm, the show will be postponed until Friday July 5, at 9:30 pm.
OURAY - At dusk, a torchlight parade comes down the mountain signalling the start of a spectacular fireworks display.
PARKER - Celebrate Independence Day at the Town’s annual celebration, Let Freedom Sing! Grab blankets and lawn chairs and set up to enjoy live music, festive food vendors, family activities and more! On July 4 at Salisbury Park, 11920 Motsenbocker Rd. from 6 to 10 p.m. Parker is under Stage 2 fire restrictions until further notice. This essentially means: no open fires, burning, nor fireworks. Due to these Stage 2 fire restrictions and high fire risk, the Town is currently not planning to have the professional fireworks display on July 4. However, there will be a 25 minute laser light show, complete with aerial effects, screen show and fog, all set to music.
PARK HILL, DENVER - Park Hill Parade will march along 23 Avenue from Dexter St. to Kramerla St. at 1:30 pm.
PUEBLO - There are 2 fireworks shows on July 4. Fireworks will be set off by the Pueblo West Fire Department and can be seen from everywhere in West Pueblo. The other display will be set off over the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo, with the symphony playing in the background. Tickets required and cost $3 for adults and $1 for kids.
SEDALIA - Fireworks show CANCELED by West Douglas County Fire Department.
SIMLA - The Big Sandy Fire Protection District and Simla Volunteer Fire Dept. has CANCELED the fireworks show scheduled on July 4 at the Simla football field.
SILVERTON - Fireworks show at Memorial Park at dusk.
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS - Firework Show at Howelsen Hill at 9:00 pm.
TELLURIDE - The annual fireworks display has been CANCELED for the second year in a row due to dry conditions and high fire danger.
THORNTON - Around 9:30 p.m., the fiery fun begins with a nighttime patriotic parachute jump by Mile Hi Skydiving immediately followed by a fireworks show at the Carpenter Park Multipurpose Fields at 108th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. The field opens at 4 p.m. with music, food and vendors.
VAIL - Fireworks will go off at 9:30 pm and can be viewed from downtown Vail Village.
WESTCLIFFE: Fireworks will be shot over Lake DeWeese on July 4 at dusk.
WESTMINSTER - Fireworks will begin at 9:15 pm at City Park.
WHEAT RIDGE - No fireworks on July 4. Fireworks still on for the Carnation Festival on Aug. 16 - 17. at Anderson Park.
WINTER PARK - A full weekend of events is planned in Winter Park with fireworks at dusk on the 4th of July.
