Snow slide near base of US 40 closes parts of Berthoud Pass; Pass now open

DENVER - A snow slide that occurred by US Highway 40 closed Berthoud Pass for about 90 minutes, the Colorado Department of Transportation said Friday.
The slide occurred near the base of the north side of Berthoud Pass, prompting the closure of the westbound lanes and one eastbound lane.
The closure occurred around 12:30 p.m. All lanes of US 40 on the north side of the Berthoud Pass summit reopened at about 2 p.m.
