Snow update from Denver Public Works at 3 pm Saturday
Last Updated: 306 days ago
DENVER - A strong cold front has moved into Denver today and snow showers are expected to fall throughout the afternoon and evening. Denver Public Works crews are monitoring conditions and are ready to fully deploy when snow begins to accumulate on Denver’s main streets (streets with stripes).
Initial warm pavement temperatures will facilitate snow melt on the roadway this afternoon. However, as temperatures drop, streets may become icy and Public Works crews will apply de-icing materials as needed, paying special attention to elevated structures. Crews will monitor road conditions throughout the storm, and will address issues as needed.
Visit www.DenverSnowPlan.com, for more detailed information on snow removal. During snowfall, Denver updates the website in real time to reflect current conditions and strategies. Also, follow Denver Public Works on Twitter (@DenPublicWorks) for real time updates.
