DURANGO, Colo. -
Approximately 310 people took part Saturday in a search that covered 60 linear miles in an attempt to find clues related to 13-year-old Dylan Redwine's disappearance.
There were no new tips that led to Saturday’s search. The road searched is a common route between Durango and Vallecito where Dylan was last seen. Investigators wanted to cover the route before a series of predicted snow systems enter the area.
Of dozens of items flagged by searchers, 10 were collected by law enforcement investigators for further study.
All searchers were safely out of the field 4 p.m.
In addition to the citizen volunteers, personnel from at least 17 agencies and groups took part in organizing, supporting, and conducting the search on Saturday
Dylan was reported missing Nov. 19 and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and a "Duke Blue Devils" baseball cap, the day he arrived at the airport from Colorado Springs. The boy's father, Mark Redwine, says he left his son at his Vallecito-area home the next morning while he ran errands and saw a divorce lawyer.
Dylan lives with his mother in Colorado Springs but was visiting his dad for Thanksgiving as part of a court order. Authorities said they don't believe the boy ran away.
