PUEBLO, Colo. - Pueblo County employees can get a raise if they help the county find cost savings.
Commissioners on Wednesday passed a resolution offering workers their first pay raise in several years if they can help the county tighten its belt.
The county is asking elected officials and department chiefs to find at least 2 percent savings in their areas that do not affect public services.
According to the Pueblo Chieftain, employees could also get one of five $1,000 bonuses at the end of the year if they submit the top cost-savings ideas to human resources.
