ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. - The Colorado State Patrol is trying to identify a female pedestrian killed after she was hit by a car while crossing South Parker Road Thursday night.
The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when she tried to cross South Parker Road against the light at about 9:36 p.m., said State Patrol spokesman Trooper Josh Lewis.
She was struck by a 2004 Toyota Corolla traveling eastbound on Parker Road, south of Quebec Street in Arapahoe County. The Toyota driver, who stopped and waited at the scene, had the right of way, Lewis said.
7NEWS photojournalist James Dougherty took a photograph of the Corolla, which had a dented hood and a shattered windshield from the collision.
