AURORA, Colo. - Police are looking for the person who fatally stabbed an Aurora man in an apartment late Friday night.
Just after 9 p.m., officers were called to an apartment in the 1100 block of Yosemite Street and found a man inside suffering from a stab wound in his upper body, according to Aurora police spokesman Frank Fania.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was rushed into surgery, but he died a few hours later.
Police contacted some witnesses and detained them until detectives from the Major Crime/Homicide Unit responded to assist.
The people that were questioned by the detectives were released, Fania said.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the stabbing as no arrests have been made.
The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the victim once the autopsy is completed.
