ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. - Adams County sheriff's officials are investigating a weekend home-invasion where armed men tied up three people.
Sheriff's officials say dispatchers received a call about 10 p.m. Sunday from a cellphone where no one spoke to the dispatcher.
Officials "pinged" the cellphone and determined it was located in near the 1100 block of Drake Street, said sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. Paul Gregory.
When deputies arrived in the area they heard what they thought was a gunshot coming from 1081 Drake St., Gregory said.
Deputies went to the home and discovered five people inside who stated they were victims of a home-invasion. Three of the five people had been restrained by the suspects, who were said to be armed with handguns, Gregory said.
The three suspects escaped. They were described as Hispanic men, between 20 and 30 years old.
