Dangerous felon taken into custody after Denver manhunt

DENVER - Denver police say a dangerous felon has been captured.

Police surrounded the Pebble Creek Apartments in Bear Valley at mid-afternoon Sunday, looking for the man wanted in multiple jurisdictions.

The apartments are located in the 6200 block of West Hampden Avenue.

Police were looking for 34-year-old  David Shane Gosik who was described as "armed and dangerous."  Police said Gosik is wanted in multiple jurisdictions.  

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Gosik was found hiding in a crawl space.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said Gosik is wanted in Arapahoe and Douglas counties "for numerous felony crimes including menacing, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, burglary, and vehicular eluding."

Police announced at about 6:45 p.m. that Gosik had been taken into custody without incident.
