Aurora police respond to report of robbery, shots fired at Pleasures adult store Sunday

Employee wounded by gunman

AURORA, Colo. - Aurora police said an employee of the Pleasures adult store was shot Sunday afternoon.

Crime scene tape blocked off the store at South Havana and East Jewell at 2:45 p.m. and at least 3 police vehicles were parked outside.

When police arrived, they found an employee inside suffering from at least one gunshot wound.  He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At this time, police are unsure if this was a robbery or what may have led up to the shooting.

Police were given a vague description of the suspect.  He is described as a black male, possibly in his twenties, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with one-inch “afro” type hair.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue bandana over his face, light colored blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.  It is unknown if he left on foot or in a car but he was last seen running towards the rear of the business, according to police.
