Bus crash shuts down southbound Interstate 25 in Pueblo

PUEBLO - An accident involving a bus from an assisted living facility shut down southbound Interstate 25 at 13th Street in Pueblo Thursday morning, police said.
Traffic was rerouted around the accident until the highway re-opened at 12:30 p.m.
The bus for the Primrose Retirement Community crashed at about 9:45 a.m., a dispatcher with the Pueblo Police Department confirmed. The bus landed on its side.
There were two staff members and two female residents on the bus at the time, our media partner KRDO confirmed. Both residents were transported to a hospital and one has very serious injuries.
The driver of a second car involved in the crash was not seriously injured.
