DENVER - Have you smelled smoke? Or noticed the haze?
The Colorado Department of Health and Environment issued a smoke outlook on Wednesday morning.
It said light to moderate smoke was possible near prescribed fires and small wildfires around the state.
It also warned of two larger fires creating smoke.
"Areas of light to moderate smoke were possible near the Eightmile Fire, six miles northeast of Canon City," the advisory said. "Smoke may be visible in parts of southeast Colorado, including Colorado Springs and Pueblo."
It warned that smoke from fires in the Northwest Territories of Canada were creating hazy skies across portions of eastern Colorado.
"This haze should decrease gradually Wednesday afternoon through the end of the week," the advisory said.
Officials said there are no wildfire smoke health advisories in effect in Colorado at this time.
