Will these storms impact the Broncos game? 247Weather team says probably not

DENVER - Despite the powerful afternoon thunderstorms, the bad weather is moving quickly toward the east and the forecast looks alright for the Broncos preseason game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

The temperatures have cooled greatly due to the earlier storms.  In Denver, some lower 70s possible for the evening drive to the game, and then 60s for much of the evening.  The chance for an evening shower or storm will be near 20% for the Front Range.  So, not entirely out of the question to have a spotty shower affect the Bronco game.  Fans should take a jacket, with most of the game played in the 60s.

Severe thunderstorms with heavy lightning have moved onto the eastern plains:

Photos from areas like Highlands Ranch showed that after the storm passed, residents found a littering of hail ranging from pea-sized to nickel-sized.

The rain flooded the 9th Green of the Sanctuary Golf Course, according to Courts Spokesman Rob McCallum. He tweeted that a charity golf tournament was put on hold as a result.
