...winter storm warning remains in effect until 6 pm mdt this
* timing...snow intensity will gradually decrease this morning.
showers will continue through the afternoon and then gradually
end this evening.
* snow accumulations...additional snowfall of 2 to 5 inches,
heaviest in larimer county.
* impacts...travel will be difficult if not impossible on some
mountain roads due to the depth of snow. the wet, heavy snow
accumulating on leafed out trees has resulted in broken tree
limbs and scattered power outages.
a winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. only travel in an
emergency. if you must travel...keep an extra flashlight...
food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
