This weekend's weather will provide a hint of fall to Colorado.A cold front passing through the state on Saturday will draw in slightly cooler air to keep highs in the lower 80s. The average high in Denver this time of year is 87 degrees.Aside from patchy clouds, and a stray storm in the mountains, the weekend will be primarily dry. Expect a good deal of sunshine with a light breeze both days.Sunday will offer a chilly start with many parts of the Front Range waking up to 40s. Denver will be hovering around 50 degrees, but close to the existing record of 48 degrees set in 2002.Sunday afternoon will be a few degrees warmer, in the mid- 80s.The best feature of the upcoming week is the overnight lows running in the 50s. This will be a good opportunity to turn the air conditioner off, get the windows open and save on your energy bills.A tranquil pattern with dry conditions and near-average temperatures is anticipated through the upcoming week. There are no significant chances for rain other than the typical afternoon thunderstorms, mainly in the high country.
