Mild And Sunny Weekend

Mountain, Foothills Wind Continues

The wrath of winter seems to be taking the month off. Denver has already recorded two days in the 60s for January and will warm back up above normal to end the weekend.

Saturday was still breezy, but the sunshine helped lift temperatures into the mid 40s. Sunday will also bring more sunshine and mild temperatures with highs near 50.

A ridge of high pressure will keep the western United States mild and dry through at least next Wednesday.

A little moisture would be nice - 2008 ended on a dry note and Denver's precipitation totals were more than 5 inches below average. Unfortunately, January is typically the 2nd driest month of the year and only the 5th snowiest.
