First Alert Action Day: Snow blankets the Front Range

DENVER — The storm has arrived. Snow will continue throughout the day across the Front Range and foothills. Highs will only be in the upper 20s on Sunday.

Snowfall will not be excessive with 2"-6" of snow for the Denver area and 4 to 8 south toward the Palmer Divide and Castle Rock..and 3"-6"inches in the mountains along and east of the Divide. Highest amounts of snow will be just to the west and south of Denver..in the foothills especially.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 4pm Sunday in Denver.  

Western Colorado will miss most of the snow, with little accumulation expected for Vail, Aspen, Telluride and surrounding areas.

Monday will start very cold in the Denver area with morning lows in the low to mid-teens. The snow should be clearing out on Monday morning~with improving conditions throughout the day. Highs on Monday should be around 30 degrees under a mostly sunny sky.

Warmer weather is expected by the middle of next week with temperatures near 60 degrees by Wednesday! So there's a little bit of everything on our 7-day forecast!
