It's been a mild and dry start to December!  Temperatures will stay about 15 to 20 degrees warmer than normal through Sunday.

Highs will reach the mid to upper 60s in Denver, with upper 40s to low 50s in the mountains on Sunday.

We are very dry, just over a quarter of an inch of moisture has fallen so far in November - that coming after a dry month of October.  The mountains and plains could really use a good, soggy storm system, but so far those have been hard to come by.

So far, we've only seen 2.8 inches of snow in Denver this season.  By the end of November, Denver would typically see around 13 inches of snow...so we are well below normal.

There will be a storm system swirling into the southwestern U.S. late Sunday into Monday.  Clouds will increase across Colorado late Sunday with some rain and snow developing over southwestern Colorado.

Overnight Sunday into Monday, colder weather and some snow can be expected.  At this point, models are having a difficult time agreeing on how much moisture this storm will bring. We could see up to 6 inches of snow for our Northern mountains, and lesser amounts south of i70.

The Denver area could see a few light flurries, but the main shift will be the colder temperatures and gusty winds. Highs will only be in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees on Monday. Lows drop to the 20s. Make sure to bundle up as we start the week!

Temperatures will return to near seasonal values Tuesday through the week. In the Denver area, expect low 20s for our overnight lows and highs in the  low to mid-40s through mid-week.
