Your 24/7 NOWCAST:Partly cloudy skies in the Denver Metro Area with current temperatures in the mid 60s. Thunderstorms will redevelop this afternoon along the Front Range foothills, urban corridor, and the eastern plains.
Your 24/7 Synopsis: Thunderstorms will remain in the forecast through the holiday weekend, with some storms possible becoming severe. Large hail and heavy rain will be the primary threats. Hot and dry weather returns to the forecast early next week.
METRO DENVER:Independence Day: Partly cloudy in the morning with patchy fog. The clouds will increase in the afternoon with more thunderstorms. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 50s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s.
Monday: Partly cloudy and dry with highs in the upper 80s.
NORTHEASTERN PLAINS:Independence Day: Partly cloudy with a chance for afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 80s and overnight lows in the upper 50s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s.
Monday: Mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 90s.
MOUNTAINS:Independence Day:Partly cloudy skies with afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70s and lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy skies with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s.
Monday: Partly cloudy skies with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the 60s and 70s.
WESTERN SLOPE:Independence Day: Partly cloudy with a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the 50s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with a chance for thunderstoms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s.
Monday: Mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 90s.

Temperatures will remain in the 80s for the holiday weekend with a chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms each day. Early next week will be a little warmer and drier once again. Expect highs in the low to mid 90s for most of next week with partly cloudy skies.
