Denver Sets Record High Of 102 Degrees

DENVER -- If you thought it was really hot Satuday, you were right. The high temperature recorded at Denver International Airport was 102 degrees, which set a new record. It was the 12th straight day that Denver topped 90 degrees.The old record high in Denver for July 16 was 101 degrees in 2003.Meanwhile Grand Junction tied a record high set in 2003 of 102 degrees. Saturday was the fifth day in a row of temperatures above 100 degrees in Grand Junction.
A cold front is forecast to bring cooler temperatures to much of the state by Monday before temperatures will begin rising again.
