What if you could water all you want if you attended a special class? Sounds too good to be true but in Castle Rock that's the offer.

The town said if you attend one of its water conservation workshops you'll be exempt from Castle Rock's mandatory water restrictions. The town believes you'll save more water if you know what you should do.

There are two workshops -- one on May 24 and one on June 19.

The classes last three hours, from 9 a.m. to noon, and are being held at the Castle Rock Town Hall. You must reserve a spot by calling (720) 733-6000. Seats are limited.

Class participants will learn about the best times to water, how to tell when grass needs water, the seven principles of xeriscape, and other irrigation management techniques.

The city hopes to have at least one class a month and has a goal of getting 200 people to go through the class by the end of the summer.
