UPDATED: 9:16 pm MST November 28, 2009

Snow flurries and a winter chill are in the forecast for Sunday.

Snow will continue over the southwestern mountains overnight, with potentially heavy snow through Sunday morning.

There is a winter weather advisory in effect for the San Juan Mountains through Sunday afternoon. Total snow accumulation will be 6 to 12 inches by Sunday night.

Currently, the system does not look to have the potential of being a large snow maker for the metro area, but some light snow is possible late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.

A brief warm up is expected by Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Temperatures on Sunday will be in the upper 30s to low 40s.
