DENVER, Co. -- Snow flurries and a winter chill are in the forecast for Sunday.Snow will continue over the southwestern mountains overnight, with potentially heavy snow through Sunday morning.There is a winter weather advisory in effect for the San Juan Mountains through Sunday afternoon. Total snow accumulation will be 6 to 12 inches by Sunday night.
Currently, the system does not look to have the potential of being a large snow maker for the metro area, but some light snow is possible late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.A brief warm up is expected by Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s.Temperatures on Sunday will be in the upper 30s to low 40s.
