DENVER, Colo. -- It is going to be a beautiful holiday. Temperatures by the lunchtime hour are already in the low 60s.A nice ridge of high pressure will build over Colorado on Thursday, allowing temperatures to warm about 15 to 20 degrees above normal for the end of the week. Look for highs in the mid- to upper-60s on both Thursday and Friday afternoon. While it's quiet in Colorado, there's a bit of rain and snow in the Great Lakes region. The wet weather will hit Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin on Thanksgiving day.
Colorado's warm weather will only last for a few days. The next system looks to move in on Saturday afternoon, dropping temperatures back into the 40s with a chance of snow Saturday night into Sunday.Currently, the system does not look to have the potential of being a large snow maker, but some light snow is possible throughout the day on Sunday. Temperatures on Sunday will be about 30 degrees colder than Thanksgiving. So after the big Thanksgiving feast, get outside, walk and enjoy the beautiful weather now!
